This time last year it had all only just begun, I’d just arrived in the dusty, vibrant streets of Kathmandu and my mind was imploding with new experiences while I was discovering my love of travel ran far deeper than imagined. Sitting here now, thinking back to those first days in Nepal feels like a lifetime ago but at the same time it seems time is racing by, the days on the calendar continuously flicking over.
It’s hard to believe just how much has happened since I stepped off that plane into the unknown. 2014 has seen me travelling often, meeting incredible people who bring me so much joy, building a life for myself in a new country and beginning to define exactly what it is I want out of live. I’ve learnt I don’t want to follow the typical career path, I want to create something for myself that keeps me inspired and fulfilled. The past year has been all about discovery, the coming year is going to be all about putting my plans into action. I want to keep travelling as far and as wide as possible, continually pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone and experiencing all that I can. Seeing everything the past year has given me and allowed me to do only encourages me to work that much harder to achieve my dreams, imagining just where I could be in another years time.
In an odd coincidence, this morning I woke up to an email from the tour company I travelled with through Nepal and India, for once I was leaping out of bed overjoyed on a Monday morning, as I had won a trip with them! After having the most amazing experience with them on my last trip I am over the moon to be able to take a new adventure with them.
In other, rather exciting, news Cheapflights recently featured myself and some amazing Kiwi bloggers with our top travel destinations for 2015! Be sure to check it out if you want some inspiration, it’s given me some new places to add to the ever-growing bucket list that’s for sure. Cheers to Cheapflights for being awesome and encouraging everyone to get out and see the world!
